Consultation on proposed merger of four Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Groups
Date: 26 Jul 2018 - 14:25 to 14 Aug 2018 - 17:00
The four Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) are seeking the views of local patients and organisations on proposals to merge into a single organisation. The aim is to strengthen how CCG staff work efficiently together, to commission services which are equally available to all residents across the county and to make the best use of the money available to the local NHS.
The four CCGs have been working closely together constructively for the last two years and it now feels the right moment to bring the four CCGs together formally as a final step in the development of the single management team. The CCG Governing Bodies (GBs) are also seeking a formal mandate from Derbyshire GP practices to merge, in tandem with developing a local “Place” based model of commissioning in line with the vision of the Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) plan for Derbyshire. We have been working with our membership and had feedback through a survey as well as at engagement sessions across Derbyshire. A formal voting process has commenced on whether there is support for the CCGs to merge.
Now is the time for us to share information about what the merger could mean and seek views from our key stakeholders. You can find more information and give your views by using the following web link: http://www.southernderbyshireccg.nhs.uk/have-your-say/consultations/the-future-of-erewash-hardwick-north-derbyshire-and-southern-derbyshire-nhs-clinical-commissioning-groups/
The consultation will run until Tuesday, 14 August 2018.
We are working to a tight deadline to ensure that if we get approval we can look to merge from 1 April 2019.
